Another day, another decision! This is kind of a big one for me… I will be niching down in my photography world, taking on more hours at my favorite coffee shop, and although it’s bittersweet, I am excited to put a new outline in place for Shannon Weiss Photo.

The What: Moving forward, I will continue to focus on Family, Maternity, and Senior Sessions. I will finish out my 2025/2026 weddings on the books with a smile (truly a joy to document) and will no longer be booking weddings/ couples sessions until further notice. (Family sessions will be for immediate family only. I’m no longer taking on extended family sessions, but have some great photographers that I can recommend at the bottom of this post.)

I will also continue to offer small local businesses photos to help grow their online presence, because I just love our community!

The Why: In this season of my life, I want to hone in on the sessions I greatly connect with, which is parents and kids. I want to grow in those areas as a photographer, and offering every type of session and event can become an overwhelm with all the areas of life right now. I will only be offering 3-4 portrait sessions a month moving forward.

Gift Certificates: Have a gift certificate, or purchase a Black Friday Deal? No worries, I will be taking those on as they come in, in addition to newly scheduled sessions. If you were wanting a couples session with yours, no problem (I still love LOVE, I’m just making some business changes for myself).
